Jackie London shapewear is engineered for five silhouettes. Every product in our catalog lists the body types it was designed to flatter.
Hourglass (Reloj de Arena)
Your bust and hips are roughly equal in width, with a clearly defined, narrower waist. Curves are already present.
- Goal: maintain and enhance your natural definition
- Focus areas: glute lift, waist accentuation
Apple (Manzana)
Your bust and midsection are fuller than your hips. Weight tends to sit in the abdomen and upper body.
- Goal: flatten and control the abdomen, smooth the back
- Focus areas: tummy control, waist definition, back coverage
Pear (Pera)
Your hips and thighs are wider than your bust and shoulders.
- Goal: cinch the waist and smooth the hip/thigh area
- Focus areas: waist, outer thighs, glute lift for balance
Inverted Triangle (Triángulo Invertido)
Your shoulders and bust are broader than your hips. Glutes tend to be flatter.
- Goal: add hip projection and glute volume to balance your silhouette
- Focus areas: glute enhancement, lower-body curves
Rectangle (Rectángulo)
Your bust, waist, and hips are close to the same measurement. You have a straighter, more uniform silhouette.
- Goal: create waist definition and project curves for an hourglass effect
- Focus areas: cinched waist, glute lift, abdominal shaping
How to measure yourself
You need a soft measuring tape. Measure directly against your skin, not over clothing.
Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it parallel to the floor.
Waist
Measure the narrowest part of your torso — usually about 1 inch above your belly button.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and glutes, typically 7–9 inches below your natural waist.
Tip: If your bust and hips are within 1 inch of each other and your waist is at least 8 inches smaller — you're an hourglass. If your hips are more than 2 inches wider than your bust — you're a pear. If your bust is more than 2 inches wider than your hips — inverted triangle. If your waist is within 9 inches of your bust or hips — apple or rectangle.
